Slavery by Caen-N Slavery by Caen-N
Ok, so i saw Django last night and it is a very very well made film, i highly recommend you go see it.
However, with this film and the new Lincoln film coming out i felt the need to remind people that slavery still exists and is stronger than ever.

What are we going to do... i'm not sure but lets start the conversation

being in topic, anyway... what can we do?

First: don't be blind. If we see an injustice, an abuse, don't turn the face on the other side, but do something

Second: do something concrete 4 helping. Donating is great, but money is not a solution... we have to read a lot to be conscious of the problems , not only thinking about our "little garden"... If 4 my better living someone is being enslaved, I should feel a lot ashamed. Always ask to ourselves: this thing that I bought, is made with legal work or with "blood"? We should be more conscious of what we do...
I know it's a little, but if everybody cares a little more of others, many things would never happen...

(hope to be clear with my orrible english! ;))

mmm... there are so many different kinds of modern slavery that i'm not quite sure we'll be ever free... there are true slaves (not only into the poorest sides of this sick world, but also in the neighbourhood) but also more subtle slaveries like technology, fashion, etc... the worst form in my opinion, if you are a so-called free person? self-made mental slavery... I mean, w all do the best to enslave ourselves with ridiculous things that really don't matter but that makes us suffer so much...

true... but i'd say the worst kind are not "self made slaves" no.
I'd say child sex slaves are worse which make up a large number of real and current slaves today.

of course I was talking about "devious" slavery... it's obvious that sexual slavery is completely different and more serious, especially talking about children, because is a crime against human rights and if a man does these so atrocius things 1) shouldn't be called man anymore 2) is a sick person with a huge menthal disease and should not be free of moving around the world doing bad things to poor and innocent children/young people...
what I was meaning is just that, as in the XIX century it was considered "normal" (how terrible it sounds) the human slavery, today we still are enslaved with a lot of things that we don't consider as slavery at all...
