Playing Cards Idea 1 by Caen-N Playing Cards Idea 1 by Caen-N
Part of the series of "ideas".

I put a set of playing cards inside a lightbulb. Not easy to do.

I am commenting on us as a throw-away society, and looking at obsolete and out dated technology. I can no longer by the standard filement ligh glob anymore so my work will finish when i can no longer find any old ones to use.

I guess most people will not ever really think of the passing of Edison's ligh bulb which has had such an enormous effect of the world in so many ways. Oh yes, we still have the light bulbs in the same shape but they are very different to what they originally were for over the last 100 years.

Wonderful concept and idea. True - it is hard to find cheap and easy light bulb - that is actually affordable.

You cracked a hole in the other side of the bulb, the side we can't see. Wonderful idea, maybe I'll try when I have a bulb die.

the idea i absoulty love <3 but i think you have to many shadows in the picture and thats reducing the impact and proffesional look of the shot. Try having a back light and a side light to try and help cancel out any reflection that may come of the lightbulb..... that makes no sense right XD? ah im sorry but yeah its an epic concept so well done :D

Caen-N Featured By Owner Nov 6, 2011
Yeah i spent about an hour all up just on the cards... getting into the bulb took forever. but i went through the back choosing the right cards and then making sure they didnt creese as i put them in, and then positioning them in there.
