A cute toy inside a light bulb. The toy is a bear dressed up as a rabbit.

Kawaii means cute, but also refers to the sub-culture of people preoccupied with cuteness associated with manga and other Japanese sub-groups.

I wanted to look at obsession and sub-cultures. I do not want to give a value to these thing either positive or negative, only raise discussion.

I also see this as a part of absurdist art. I mean it's a cute bear dressed as a bunny...

My series of Ideas is a social commentary on societies “throw away culture”.
The Edison light globe is a dead technology but one that had a massive impact on the world, with most of the evidence of this invention being simply trashed and replaced.

I suppose this photo and the description could bring up discussion, but I feel the picture isn't too attention-grabbing and kind of plain. If you wanted to promote a message or encourage discussion, it should be more exciting.

you may be right... but then you just began a discussion... and proved yourself wrong lol
And yes this particular image is less exciting than some of the others, yet the artwork is not the image you see; it is a 3dimetional object created to be experienced in real life and not as a 2D picture seen on a computer screen. Furthermore, excitement is not a necessary condition of something being art. But you're right if my intention is to promote discussion on the matter... so sure i could easily make the image itself more attention grabbing.

I see what I did there.
What I meant to say that it could promote discussion, but it's also kind of plain.
