My series of Ideas is a social commentary on societies “throw away culture”. The Edison light globe is a dead technology but one that had a massive impact on the world, with most of the evidence of this invention being simply trashed and replaced.
I've had this idea waiting to do for some time now and just today decided that it was going to happen. Maybe a work to reflect on creativity and the art making process...
Yes you may share my work but please always credit me.
Very nice concept indeed It might be about the right use of ideas, eggs, light-bulb, even pan Wrong use may lead to spread wonderful colors for a time like broken eggs, but in the right place Ideas may behave like fresh eggs, sticky, gooey, letting some vital ingredients navigating inside the shell Egg may bring light in one's plate when nothing else as food Light also very important when eating as it brings taste meaning Great idea in this artwork!!
hey thanks for taking the time to write such an extended comment and sharing your interpretation with me. It's the best when i find people who have actually engaged with my work and have a relationship with it. much appreciated
I know what you mean about 'throw away culture' - I always think of the water bottles from people who want to drink "clean water" when the reality is that a lot of the bottled water sold is either stolen legally from communities up in Maine, etc...or taken from municipal water sources! Then the bottles are just tossed and usually accumulate in the ocean - like the Great Pacific Garbage Patch [link] Clean water can be achieved through good filters just as easily without all the waste - or those lucky enough to have a well. Or maybe we could stop putting industrial fluoride, metals, and god knows what else in our tap water.
You could also take this very simply and just say hey I had an idea...BUT then it fell through. Either way..very creative and visually effective
thanks yeah, bottled water is a funny thing - it used to be a joke in advertising about selling bottle water and not it's just a "normal" thing. Even where i live we have some of the "cleanest" tap water, it may well be better than bottled water - but people just keep buying it and pay so much for it. It is something that is often on my mind when thinking about art making and i have a few ideas that discuss it more directly. anyways thanks for commenting
